All it takes is a birthday to seriously reflect on your life, where you've been and where your going.
I won't say my exact age because my show business family will kill me LOL :) In numbers I'm a grown up but inside I feel like a little kid. I still have so much to learn and accomplish. With each year that passes I feel a lot smarter and confident with who I am.
A lot has changed in this passed year for me. I've become SO much more responsible and appreciative of the gifts god has given me. I've actually become more disciplined!! I never thought I would say that!! Anyone who knows me knows I was an untamed wild woman. But all has changed in the aspects of love, relationships with family/friends and work. I've learned what my priorities are and have come to be extremely focused.
My family has been so supportive of everything I do and I live each day to make them proud and put a smile on their faces.
My friends are part of my family and I want to continue being supportive to them as they are to me. I tell all my friends I love them whenever I see them because I truely do.
I've learned to keep the best people close to me and the rotten apples away.
I am happy to say I love every aspect of my many different work/business relations. This year I have been a part of helping my best friend Jen grow and succeed in her business. I am so proud of her and look up to her in many ways. She thinks outside the box and all in the name of making Bridgeport a better place. I am happy to be a part of it and learn, learn, learn!!
With BLI$$ I'm learning to be a better performer/singer and have a damn good time doing it! I am lucky to work with the most talented group of people in the area and above all they are the funniest/wackiest guys I know. Every show you will find there's a moment when I am crying from uncontrollable laughter because either Ed, Clint or Dnash do something silly. I am fortunate to have found the best vocal coach in the area, Sue Vick who has made our four day a week gig schedule possible for me without hurting my voice. She ROCKS!
I've grown my styling business and iLookok.com to a successful level. That is something in this next year I will be working on as well as original music. So much fun stuff coming in the next year!!! EeeeeeEHeeeeeE!
I look forward to each year with a few main goals...only do what makes you happy, love the people around you for who they are and do at least one thing your afraid of because in the end when you get passed it you will have grown.
This birthday weekend will be filled with several different events. I'm stoked!!
